You can probably test with the trial version. X9 as being sold from Corel now should be fully updated and have the Python Libraries. Rondo said " This is insane- Just won't be upgrading to X9 if everyone is having this problem."

If you have an earlier version missing the python libraries then you can download the Python package and install the python Libraries

Update 3 was supposed to include Update 1 and 2 but omitted the Python Libraries.įor a time the latest versions sold produced an updated version 19.1.0.29 but had left out the Python libraries.įrom the sticky I gather that Josephlin has now had this corrected such that all version of X9 sold from Corel by download will be 19.1.0.29 AND will include the python libraries. Update 1 version 19.0.1.8 (installing this cured the errors)

If the above is not correct, and until a final fix comes along, which patch or patches should be installed (if any) to remove most bugs and make pspimage files compatible with previous versions? If I start with the original version installation (build 19.0.0.96), can I simply download option D (the third patch) and will it install all of the previous patches plus the python libraries? And if so, does doing so fix the issue of some pspimage files not opening? JoeB wrote:Having read various threads about various patch builds for X9, I'm confused so need clarification. Then complete your updating to version D and you are good to go. Then load your 'corrupted' files and resave them as pSP X8 compatible. However Update 1 also introducec a bug in the save as pspfile producing a pspfile that could only be reloaded in version B.Įach of versions A,C,D produce pspfiles that will all load into any other version of PSP X9 A, B, C, and D.įind someone that has only updated to version B and get them to load your files and save them as compatible to PSP X8 and they will reload in any version of X8 and X9įind your original download which may have been version A or B, uninstall PSP X9 and reinstall the earlier version and only update to Update 1 (B) if required. This has been corrected on the Corel website so that a direct load of version D now contains the python libraries. Update 1 addes the Python libraries which were missing from the later versions if you downloaded a later version. The first version of PSP X9 that came out in august 2016 produced version 19.0.0.96 (A) This has been mentioned before and seems to be an incompatibility between an earlier version of X9 and a later updated version. I spent an enormous amount of work in these files, so would be really grateful for any advice to recover them. I've read several similar cases on the forum, but found no solution so far. On a clean machine without any install of PSP, I cycled through X8 RTM/SP1/SP2 and X9 RTM/SP1/SP2/SP3 but none of them are able to open the file. Some pspimage files that I started in X8 and continued to work on in X9 are now impossible to open. I recently upgraded from PSP X8 SP2 to X9 SP3.
